The Essence

Meg Padgett is a Pacific Northwest artist whose work explores sensory experiences of wilderness through atmospheric wildlife paintings and natural imagery.

Drawn to overcast forests, natural textures, and quiet immersion in wild spaces, her paintings are informed by the physical and emotional grounding she experiences in nature. Bright fragments of color and gold accents are set against subdued, moody backgrounds, in the same way that vivid foliage and wildlife shines against the dark backdrop of the forest, a foggy morning, or a stormy sky.

Her work aims to preserve moments of reverence, healing, and tactile connection within wilderness.
