Understory is part of the Pacific Guardians series celebrating wildlife subjects with deep ties to the Pacific Northwest.
It's easy to find the majesty in a bear, an elk, and other large wild animals. Appreciating a single snail beneath the towering canopy of a forest takes a little more presence. Just one ray of sunshine finds its way through the canopy, catching the snail's shell. Understory celebrates a quiet creature that is easily overlooked, inviting us to slow down and notice the richness waiting beneath our feet.
